A triptych (or trilogy) of performances and an installation exploring the nuances of the first generation American experience featuring Ashley Shey. Leaving home for anyone means leaving something behind and working to find/make place elsewhere. This work is about what goes in to making or finding that place. These forms are inspired by the Baobab tree’s fiborous make up; they become a rhythmic manifestation of this idea of taking form.
